If you’ve been thinking of selling your Grandville, Michigan home, now is certainly an opportune time. The inventory of currently available homes for sale is very low. In other markets such as East Grand Rapids and Caledonia, we saw a nice uptick in new homes on the market between March and April of this year. Not so in Grandville, where the number of homes for sale remained flat at 33. In fact, since last year at this time, the number of homes for sale in Grandville has dropped over 13%.
Homes are selling fast too; homes sold last month spent an average of only 30 days on the market, only a month! Looking at the trends over the past year, during July 2013, homes lingered on the market for 78 days, but by August 2014 homes were selling in just 29 days!
Comprised mostly of mature neighborhoods with some higher end homes and new construction, the median price range in Grandville averages below $140k, well within reach of many first time buyers! But the low inventory means that prospective buyers will have to watch this market closely to get the deal they’re looking for.
