Exploring Byron Center, MI


Byron Center is located near the center of Byron Township.  Many residents of the community commute to work in neighboring cities like Grand Rapids and Holland.  With easy access to expressways though the US 131 and M6, it is a central and affordable place to purchase a home.

Byron Center is a suburban community, but it does have a distinctly rural feel with rolling hills and grasslands.  According to the most recent census, the majority of residents are home owners with approximately 62% owning single family homes and over 20% owning condos.

In addition to Kent Trails which run through Byron Center and adjacent communities, there are several a number of beautiful parks, the largest of which is the 59 acre Douglas Walker Park which features soccer and football fields, a pavilion, picnic areas and a volleyball court.

Railside Golf Club, one of the premier golfing locations in West Michigan is located off 76th Street and Byron Center Road.  The facility offers premium catering services for meetings, banquets and weddings.  The Club Restaurant is now open to the public and reservations can be made for dining options which include lunch, brunch and dinner.

Although the median price of homes is somewhat higher than neighboring communities, there is a range of housing options available to individuals considering Byron Center.  It’s a great place to relax away from the hustle and bustle of long days work, but close enough to get to work relatively quickly through the connecting networks of highways and roads.
