Sellers are enjoying brisk sales in Byron Township this spring. It’s fair to say that if you list it, the Buyers will come! In fact, with the exception of one month last year, (November 2014) Byron Center housing inventory remained below 3.5 months of supply! A slight uptick in active listings increased available inventory early in the spring but strong sales brought inventory back down under two months this past June. Homes that sold in June spent an average of 42 days on the market before closing so potential Sellers should act now if they hope to move in the fall.
Average sold prices are tracking close to average list prices, which appear to have dropped over the last few months, but have held steady for most of the past year, between $230k and $240k. With the Metro Health campus continuing to expand, the Buyers are out there and if last year’s trend repeats, sales should stay strong into the fall.
